Dr. Shan Shan Wu is a board-certified pediatric and adult allergist and immunologist.
Dr. Wu began her academic journey at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Chinese Studies. She then completed a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, before earning her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology at University Hospitals in Ohio, where she served as Chief Fellow. She has received national recognition for her leadership and excellence in allergy and immunology and continues to teach and mentor future doctors as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
A frequent lecturer at national medical conferences and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Wu is passionate about advancing the field of allergy and immunology through research, mentorship, and medical education. She brings this same commitment to excellence to her clinical practice, where she believes in building long-term relationships with patients and tailoring care to their individual needs.
Dr. Wu cares for both children and adults with a wide range of allergy-related conditions, including seasonal allergies, asthma, eczema, food allergies, chronic hives (also known as urticaria), and serious allergic reactions like anaphylaxis. She also has specialized training in immune system disorders, such as immunoglobulin deficiencies and common variable immunodeficiency (CVID).
